I'm only now getting to the point where I don't think I'd miss every bird at sporting clays. It's definitely in my long term interest, though.

Anyone want to suggest a date for so cal newbie sporting clays day?

Sporting clays at Moore_N_Moore...
So far we have 3 Skeet clinic attendees for our squad, 2 spots open, 8am flight.
It's a fun shoot done tournament style

We dubbed the Summit Ascent the "magic gun" as we seemed to be hitting everything with it... until we actually started playing the game and found that maybe something a little lighter would be beneficial for doubles or Stations 3-5.

If you are rotating with your lower body, as you should, the weight makes no difference!
The heaver gun will smooth your swing and greatly reduce felt recoil.
I've shot with most of you, and you have seen I can hit 3, 4 & 5. My Skeet gun weighs 9lbs 3.6ozs...Do it right and the weight won't matter, just ask Don or Richard

And they take up a bunch of shady parking spots!!! Thankfully we're getting to a part of the year where my backside won't burst into flames when getting into my car after a clinic.

The trick is getting there early and knowing where to park. I've rolled in right at 8 and found a shady spot.

SHOTGUN RENTALS
The guns we rent are only the best. Beretta 391 Semi Autos in 12ga and 20ga, a 12ga Salvinelli 32" Over/Under, a 12ga Beretta 682 28" Over/Under and the new 12ga Beretta A400 Semi Auto. If you like a particular rental gun, you can purchase similar new and used models from our good friends at Pacific Sporting Arms.

Remember, while renting a shotgun is a great way to get started in Sporting Clays, you'll eventually want your own shotgun that's fitted for your size and body shape. Rest-assured you'll find only the highest quality shotguns at PSA.

IN ORDER TO RENT A GUN YOU MUST MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS
1. Provide a valid hunting license or some sort of certificate that verifies you have taken a course in shotgun safety.
2. Take a lesson with one of our instructors. Once your lesson is complete and your gun handling ability is deemed safe by the instructor, you'll be able to continue using the rental shotgun at no extra cost on the day of your lesson. Normally the shotgun rental fees are as follows...

Yeah, I am good people I hope. But you would not want to borrow my gun(because it is *****in' and it talks to me) and Billy will murder you if you touch his precious Remington 1100.

By the way, Billy has never shot sporting clays. But he is a quick learner.

This is a fun shoot and really is alot of fun. Puts all your skeet lessons to work.

I wanna join! I haven't shot sporting clays much this year; mostly just trap and skeet and 5-stand...can't make moore n moore this weekend but maybe another fun shoot?

The fun shoot at Moore-N-Moore is held the first Sunday of every month...I'll be at most of them...

Damn, this is starting to sound really good. I'd really like to try their 682 rental as that's one on my list to check out.

What's the approximate cost of a round of sporting clays? How many targets?

Well, ok. But it will have IC in first barrel, and improved mod in second. And it is not selective trigger. Unless you want modified, then improved mod, and don't hit nothin'.

Or skeet, skeet.
By the way, I ran 24 straight last Sunday with it and missed option low 8.
