    MOSSBERG 500 Forearm stuck sometimes

I have a Mossy 500A that sometimes has a sticky forearm. It smooth cycling for the most part, but sometimes the forearm gets stuck in the rearward position and it takes "extra" effort to push it forward again. Any ideas?

Little more info may be needed. How long have you had it? How long has it been doing it? How many shells have you put through it? Have you cleaned it? Have you field stripped it and checked for high wear areas or points of excess contact? Stuff like that to help narrow down what may be going on with out being there in person and reducing wild speculations.

About 7 or 8 years old. Lightly used. I disassembled, clean lubed and reassembled. Problem still there. I think it was always like that even from brand new. Anyways, I just paid the $20 and sent it back to Mossberg. Let the figure it out.

When forends are not centered they can bind on the barrel. Easy to see as you will notice striation makes on one side of the barrel.
