The Silver Snipe was basically Beretta's entry level gun in what they called (in this country) their BL series OU's. The most basic version had no top rib; vent rib was an option. I believe some may have had no top rib; vent rib was an option. I believe some may have had double triggers, although by 1963, a single, nonselective trigger was standard.
They are quite light in 20ga. They'd make good grouse & woodcock or quail guns, but you do have to be careful about the chokes, which are quite tight especially on the guns with 28" barrels. Chromed bores, so somewhat more difficult to relieve the chokes.
