    Recommendation 12ga SxS SG

I'm new to the SxS shotgun world.
Looking for a relatively; light weight , cheap , yet durable double barreled shotgun in 12 gauge.
The main application is to use as a field toy , for load experimentation.
Can anyone list some suggestions ?
    thanks!

Used Savage 311 shotguns can easily be had in the $200-300 range.

          Lefever Nitro Special.

Good condition used ones are strong, handle better than the 311 (IMO), and cost about the same.

Also, I think you'll find that in general: Light weight guns aren't cheap. Cheap guns aren't durable. And durable guns aren't light.

              for load experimentation.
3"? 3-1/2"? Hard non-tox? Slugs? Budget? Choke tubes?

Best bet will be used, probably Turkish at lower price points, maybe Spanish if you know what you are looking at. As price rises, you could get into a better Turk or Spaniard, then into Italian guns. Look at Yildiz, Dickinson, smaller Spanish names, then Beretta, Rizzini, Bernardelli. American classics probably not a good choice for load experiments, other than clubs like a Nitro Special or a 311.

                I understand that.
Hence the "relativley;" before the guns attributes.
