    Knoxx SpecOps question

    Hi guys,

Just got my SpecOps in the mail for the 870 I pick up this next Sunday.
So, in looking at it, where is the "give" to absorb the recoil? If I just try to compress it, it doesn't seem to spring anywhere. I've been doing a search and read something about the recoil absorbtion occurring in the pistol grip part....how does that work? (and sideline question, how do I make sure it isn't a NR model? it says SpecOps on it)

      Very stiff springs
it takes a lot of force to get it to slide but I can just barely do it

The Knoxx SpecOps is far the best thing i could have put on my 870. I took it out last Sunday and fired well over 300 rounds. Some which were slug rounds. No bruising and it allowed me to get back on target much faster then with the standard stock. Your going to love it.

Had the same expectations when I got mine - "I can't compress it. Maybe it's defective?"
BUT THEN! I never fired anything else but Brenneke Black Magic 3"s ever since. My shoulder hasn't noticed 30 of them in an hour. You can trust that stock

Yeah, if your SpecOps recoil reducing stock looks like the top pic vipspiffy posted, then you have the right one. I was wondering the same thing when I got my stock. Was hoping I didn't get scammed into the NRS for the recoil-reducing price.

I actually made an order for the SpecOps folder (http://www.knoxx.com/products/SpecOps_Folder.php). Would make maneuvering in the house with the shotgun easier.

Whew, thanks guys, that's exactly what I was looking for. My stock looks like the right one. Can't wait to try it out!

You can feel the spring if you bounce the stock off the floor.

The pistol grip spring also helps when firing from the hip as the entire grip will move back.

I really had to put my weight into it, before I could feel the spring start to give. Make sure you don't have an oversized safety (like I did); the Spec Ops is not compatible with that setup.

The receiver slides up and down above the pistol grip.
