    Bay area shotgun fitting

Anyone know where I can get shotgun fitting done? I want to ensure my 12 gauge Beretta has a good fit mostly for hunting pheasant. I will also shoot a little trap/skeet, but the focus is hunting.

Ask for Ron at Coyote Valley Sporting Clay, he is usually there on Sundays. He can be very easily identified because he drives around the sporting clay course in a maroon colored golf cart with a Ferrari logo in front.

If you cannot find him, ask one of the girls manning the front desk and they'll know how to contact him or if he's around.

Dale Tate at Camanche Hills does fitting. He was trained at Purdey in England and also gives a shooting lesson with the fitting.

Look up camhills.com for his contact information.

Both of those are over an hour away from me (Oakland). I would drive that far once to get fitted, but is there another options that's closer?

With traffic in the east bay, unless it is in walking distance, everything is at least an hour away.

+1 for Ron at Coyote Valley Sporting Clays.

Ron recently fitted a new 686 for my wife. The gun now fits her like a glove and she couldn't be happier.

The drive to Coyote Valley Sporting Clay is worth it, it is a really nice range for shotgun shooting. Or, you can also drive to the close by (10mins) Metcalf Field Sports parking, they have rifles and pistols ranges there in addition to skeet and trap fields.

So pack ALL your firearms and make the trip, get the fitting done and you can go shoot all you guns in a single trip.
