    Remington M887 Tactical.

Purchased a Remington M887 Tactical (Zombie Green) as my first firearm for $529 before taxes.

The release mechanism is forward of the trigger guard. I find this strange. I'm very used to the tab next to the safety. Any idea why they did this? I saw a video that mentioned "better glove feel when it's cold outside"

The rotating bolt is interesting. I'm assuming the more I lubricate it and use the weapon it wont stick as much?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a low profile red dot?
Dagger Defense is working on an 'improved' version of this model (low profile)
The rest of their Reflex sights get high reviews on Instagram and Amazon. Priced under 60 dollars.

and for ****s and giggles I'm looking for a durable ~200-300 lumen tac-light
and this seemed to be fitting (I don't care for pressure sensors)
    Amazon

    **Already checked recall. NOT affected.

    Um...wow...that is GREEN!

    Congrats though!

Regarding the red dot, is a $60 red dot going to hold up under the recoil of a shotgun?

Wow that's sure green! I guess you won't lose it when you set it down.

Rotating bolt huh? So Remington copied Winchester's idea once the patent ran out I see.

Forward of the trigger guard makes the release much easier to find/manipulate especially with gloves.

On edit: Those types of red dots NEVER hold zero so don't waste your money.

The camo is actually zombie faces and biohazard symbols upon closer inspection.
I like it. You don't see too many.
The red dot in question went on sale to $25 due to being the last one. Figure why not. Grabbed the tac-light. A guy with a 590 reviewed it.
Will post pics and updates around the end of the month when I get/test them

About how many rounds have you put through her? Does the action get smoother over time?

I have the same shotgun. Just remember to extend the forearm out fully before pressing the safety button in front of the trigger.

I wondered if there was a way to defeat that?

Has anyone noticed the pump action get smoother or is just the design of the gun that makes it that way.

Remove the action bar support if you find it in your shotgun. This part should have been removed during manufacturing. If the action support is left in it jams the pump action.

Found some corrosion on the inside of the barrel ring securing it to the feeder tube. ugh.
not even 100 rounds thru this thang.

                    Edit*
Action Bar Support was installed on the fore-end. removed.

Did you change the link in your OP? That isn't the sight that came up when I posted my comment.

Strange then, as the one I saw and commented about was this one

My comments about not holding zero were from my experiences with two of that type and I have no experience/input on the one you now show. So my earlier comment is withdrawn.
