shooting glasses

I am looking for suggestions advice on a new pair of shooting glasses. I am not ready to drop $700-$800 on a pair but the $15 ones I am currently using just aren't cutting it any more. I am looking for one that have interchangeable lens. Prices range is $200-$300.

I prefer the ESS Crossbow Suppressor 2X+

You get grey, copper, and clear lenses. You also get 2 frames - 1 for normal wear and 1 for earpro wear. A hard case which fits all pieces and lens rag comes with the kit. They also have 2 different optional RX inserts if you need prescription lenses.

Try the Randolph - Ranger XL glasses. They are well made and offer many different lenses in colors.

I have a pair of Rangers and Oakley prisms for overcast days. I find more and more I am using the Oakleys.

Not sure what you currently use, but I recently bought these -- http://www.amazon.com/Radians-T85-C-.../dp/B004D9WN9A -- Remington T85 Interchangeable lens kit. About $20-30 depending on the retailer. Comes with a nice little carrying case that I toss in my range bag, too. So far I've worn the clear lens for indoor shooting and the amber lens for outdoor. I know the ear pieces curve downward, which some people do not prefer, but they are still very comfortable and effective, IMHO, even with ear muffs.

No. But it does depend on the frame, whether or not you have a prescription, how many lenses are included, etc. Decot's start at like $200($500 for single vision Rx), Rudy project can be $200+(and another 100-200 for Rx lenses), oakleys cost an arm and a leg, and that's not really even getting into the customizable stuff where you can adjust lens position using hangers on a bar and such.

I've got a couple of different Randolph Rangers plus a set of Pillas and Rudys and all are good choices - looking into the new Oakley tombstone now -

In your range, a 3 lens ranger or falcon set would be a good bet.

For a long while I just shot with 3m safety glasses which were functional, but a quality interchangeable lens set does make a difference in comfort and vision.

Wouldn't dream of shooting without eye protection, but I guess that's just me.

I have a pair of Rudy Project Rydons and the lenses are great. Much more optically correct and distortion free than polycarbonate lenses.
