    870 top-folding stock

What is considered to be the best top-folding stock available (i.e., remington factory, ATI, etc.). Which would you recommend for quality, fit, function, matching the finish of the gun, etc. Also, are there any brands to stay away from.

I'm currently in the process of building my emergency zombie eradication kit and would like a top-folder for one of my 870s (got a blued and parkerized).

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    RJ

Knoxx top-folder. It supposedly reduces recoil by 50%, too.

          AJAX22,

I like it. Like it a lot, actually. Is that folder blued?

I don't remember... haven't seen it in a long time (I'm in NYC so all my toys are back in CA)... I think it had a blued finish... it was some kind of treated metal surfacing... don't recall exactly what type...

I actually bought an 870 because I liked the factory folding stock so much I wanted to get a gun to go with it.

            they are really nice.

I really like the looks of the ATI top folder. However after all the negative things said about it I think I will pass on it. Are there any cool looking folding shotgun stocks that are also functional? The Remington factory stock looks cool but where can I find one?

I've got an ATI on my Mossberg 500 and it is a decent stock. It does require a little bit of sanding to keep from cutting your cheek though.

Do you shoot it much with that stock. I had a factory folder on one, but I didn't like it at all. Granted, if I needed the space, I'd use it and get used to it, but I shot it for a couple sessions, then put it in storage (of course I'd never get rid of it).

PS AJAX are you missing the thin rubber pad on the butt? I don't know where mine went and am too lazy to track down a replacement. Are they hard to find or do you just not want/need one?

+1 for the factory folding stock, if you can find it. They are very solid.

It's missing, if you see some anywhere give me or AJAX22 a heads up.
