Tactical long gun case on SALE!

One of the best, most affordable tactical/take down cases is on sale now at Big 5 Sporting Goods for $73 (regularly $85-100 dependiing on who's selling it).

This hard case, made by Plano, is watertight, has pluck foam interior for easy customization, and will acommodate both rifles and shotguns.

It is an outstanding general purpose case, meets TSA requirements, and is ideal for flying with your gun, as it exactly meets the maximum dimensions for checked luggage at most airlines.

Also, if you are bored with shooting tactial shotguns, rifles, or pistols, or you just want a change of pace and a new challenge, come to the outstanding SoCal Shotgun/Skeet clinics and learn to break some clays!

More info about the shotgun clinics can be found here:

    Good luck and safe shooting.

Those are pretty nice cases. I checked one out at Big5 a while ago but I got a screaming deal (free) on some Storm Cases instead.

I have 2 of these cases, they are very nice except for 2 things:

      1) I bought my cases about a year apart from each other, but the key are interchangeable with each other, even though the cut pattern on the keys is quite different from each other. This makes me assume that anyone with a Plano key can open any Plano case. Maybe even a screwdriver? Haven't tried... but you should consider using padlocks as well, if security is a concern.

      2) I haven't found a place to buy replacement foam yet. If your gun configuration changes (different scope, barrel/magazine length changes, etc) after you've plucked your foam, you'll have to pluck more foam and eventually you run out of foam to pluck.

Aside from that, I do really like my cases. Be aware that they take up a ton of closet space.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Picked one up today. Nice case for sure. Would like to buy a couple extras of the pick foam as well for different guns. Anybody know if Plano sells extras?

          ><

Be aware that foam cases are rust magnets....good for travel, not storage

It wouldn't kill you to include a link, like this.

If you get the Big5 email flyers they currently have a coupon good for 10% off sale items.

OK, now we're getting into this being a really good deal.
