I've been a big fan of Benelli (Cordoba & SBE II) in 12 ga but have wanted to add something in 20 ga to the mix. I guess I'm going to have to look into the Ethos further as an option. I'll do my research but any personal experience with the Ethos you can share?NRA Life Member -
My dad has an Ethos in 12ga and it is great fun to shoot. It is light so it comes up to the shoulder and swings easily. The recoil reduction system really works.
Personally I don't see the point of the Ethos in 20ga, unless you are really recoil sensitive or had some sort of physical limitation. Personally if I was looking for a semi-auto 20ga I would buy a Montefeltro and save the $800.Comment

I had the opportunity to try the 12ga Ethos during a Benelli demo a few months ago. The gun is super light, like my Mossberg 500, but unlike the 500, the Ethos' recoil was surprisingly soft. The difference in recoil between the Ethos and a Montefeltro didn't seem that different, but considering how light the Ethos is, it's quite a surprise. The Ethos a nice gun, but I'm likely to buy a Montefeltro 12ga instead.Comment
