Mossy 930 SPX tactical Break-in

So the other day I went to Sacramento Black Rifle to get a new pair of P.I.G. shooting gloves and took the wife with me. As we walk in she see's the 930 and falls in love. She bought it. I'm thinking to myself, "how did I get so lucky to get a wife who is so good looking, a former Marine, and loves guns?"

I took her to our favorite place to go shooting off Bonetti Rd behind Sly Park Lake since its practically our back yard, as we live in Pollock Pines.

She loads her new shotty and I set 4 LMS training targets and she goes to town on them. I have never seen her shoot a shotgun and I am amazed at how well she did. But the main point of the post is she ran Winchester #8, Remy slugs, "00" buck and even some Winchester light 7, and the gun performed perfect. After reading some posts on this model I was expecting a FTF, or FTE, but it ran perfect. Guess she got lucky and got one made in mid-week and not on a Friday.

I talk her into letting me shoot it. I am not a shotgun person but I must say, wow what a sweet shooting gun. Now I want one!

Almost forgot to add, I put a 6 shot mesa sidesaddle on it, along with a Nordic barrel clamp, GG&G H&K style snap hook rings front and back, a Viking Tactics sling, and the latest surefire 730 lumen weapon light with green laser. Now I can sleep good at night knowing she will protect me from home intruders and I wont have to get out of bed and get my AR. LOL

Congratulations on the gun, and the girl. Love the 930 spx. Few things instill the level of confidence as a 7 shell slug dump. BABOOM!

Our second date was target shooting on BLM land, now that was over 34 years ago. My wife doesn't like long arms but she can hit a 12x20 inch target @ 65-70 yards shooting 200 SWCs out of my 1911! She prefers the 1911 over the G34. How cool to have his and hers 930 SPXs. I call my 930 my fire breathing dragon. Until then, be good and she'll probably let you use her shotgun.

I'm still trying to work out FTF/FTE problems w/my 930SPX.

Man sorry to hear about your 930. I read some of your past posts and you have covered about all of it to. Maybe send her back to Mossberg for a work over?
