Single Point Sling Setup for Mossberg 500

Taking a fighting shotgun course next month and the instructor recommended using a single point sling setup (namely Magpul) for my Mossberg 500. Anybody run a similar setup? If so, what parts exactly must I purchase? And where's the best place to buy said parts? I have the 1st generation Knoxx adjustable stock with pistol grip on my shottie.

I appreciate some guidance boys. Thanks!

    maybe something like this?
Mossberg 500 Front & Rear Looped Sling Attachments from GG&G are designed tested and manufactured specifically for the HK style snap hooks and mash hooks.

Then you can clip a single point sling on.

        Bingo.

OP, incase this isn't making sense, I'll try to clarify.

        a. Unless you always keep 1 hand on a long gun attached to a single point sling, which sucks if you ever need both hands for something, or
        b. You're wearing enough gear that the long gun is pushed out far enough from your chest(or possibly a belt loaded up with stuff)

your long gun is pretty much guaranteed to hit you in the junk. Even being lightweight(not having a bunch of crap bolted to your shotgun) won't matter, as it will swing/move/bounce, and you will feel it. I'm honestly surprised anyone would recommend using a single point sling over a 2 point.

I used to have a Knoxx NRS adjustable stock on one of my shotungs, and I custom-fitted (just some easy filing and dremel-ing) this kind of M4-Style rear sling adapter (with quick-detachable swivel) on it. It worked out very well for me, just personally.

I used both single-point (Magpul MS3 with QD) and double-point slings, personally I prefer the double-point (don't like to strap down on my man boobs all the time by the single-point ) The Magpul MS3 worked okay for me, and the price was reasonable for its quality.

Generally, sling setup is somewhat personal, so don't be surprised if you need to go through some trial-and-error with different setups to finally configure something that works best for you.

          Enjoy your shotgun course!

Thanks for the responses folks. Looks like I'm going with the Magpul mount and MS3 Gen 2 sling. Oh yeah, and a cup
