Drilled and tapped the Magpul MBUS front sight for a Truglo Starbrite shotgun bead. Had the bead laying around for 15+ years, decided to do something with it. I wanted a better sight for shots under 30 yards and mounted closer to the bore. The MBUS is just too tall and hard to pick up and track while swinging.
I am very happy with it - very easy to pick up and will certainly be the primary sight for me. The flip ups will just be for slugs @ 50 - 100 yds.
