    question about altering magazine capacity

I own a mossberg 600AT 12 gauge. The capacity on it is two in the tube, one in the chamber. This is so because it has a plug in the magazine. Would it be illegal to take the plug out to extend the magazine capacity? I did a search but didn't find an answer to my question.

OR hunting any game animals.... the 3 shot limit applies to all game animals (including birds/mammals)

NO restriction if your hunting non game animals
