    Can U Shoot 2 3/4" Shells in 3" Chamber?

Maybe a very dumb question, but in a single shot shotgun, can you shoot a 2 3/4" shell with a gun whos chamber says specifically 3" MOD?

Any danger of the pellets hitting that little ridge and bouncing back through the chamber? I know this is an incredibly simple question that probably has a very simple answer.

the answer is indeed very simple. you will have no problem using 2 & 3/4" shells in a 3" chambered shotgun.

the only time you could run into problems, is if you tried using a shell LARGER (not smaller) than the number printed on the shotgun.

using a 3.5 shell in a 3 inch labeled shotgun, 3 inch shell used in a 2.5 inch labeled shotgun, etc etc

Yes you can. You can shoot any length shorter than 3 inch.

I bought a bunch of 1 1/2" shells for the kids to shoot out of my Single Shot. They love it. They will not cycle in my Benelli.(tumble)
