Have you seen this thing? Pretty wild range toy. I wonder about CA law though, I can't think of how it might be illegal.

DP-16 Double Barrel pump

Each trigger pull only fires one shell, so there's no reason it isn't CA legal, just like the KSG or UTS-15.
I thought when they were announced they were supposed to be an exclusive through CTD, and that turned off a lot of people. -
This is probably correct but
this ^^^ is not the reason. That means it's not full-auto, which might be a CA and Federal problem.
CA appears to be treating such configurations as distinct 'ammunition feeding devices'; since neither exceeds 10, so far no objections are made.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!Comment

Right. My concern is that they may see it as 'semi auto' between the barrel shots. But, they would have to make a new rule for this particular shotty. Which of course they have done before with the Franchi Spas. This is probably correct but

How would they see it as semi auto? The trigger appears to operate just the same as a mechanical trigger(as opposed to an inertia trigger, and there is a difference) on an OU or SxS.Comment

Interesting but not sure if it's $1300's worth of interesting. Basicly a magazine fed, pump-action side-by-side.Comment

Pricey, been waiting for a YouTube review on it.Comment

I REALLY like the idea of these, but the price point just doesn't work for me. They were introduced at shot show earlier and only through CTD. At that point I decided it would never be an option. Even though it's through another dealer it still isn't... $1400 + transfer fees + DROS + tax?
No thanks, I'll get a 930 or, at this point a BR1919, since even that would be more affordable.Comment

I don't see a problem that it solves.
Under stress, your skills suck
Did I pull the trigger twice?
Do I need to run the slide?
Or do I need to fire again?
Is racking more difficult as I am extracting 2 shells, ejecting 2 shells and loading 2 shells?
If you are use to a pump, this thing might drive you nuts.Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

^You ought to be training with your gun, so when you're under stress, muscle memory takes over. It really doesn't matter if it's bang-bang-pump instead of bang-pump. Know your gun.Comment
