    Benelli 828U thoughts?

    Howdy everyone!

I was wondering what your thoughts are on the new Benelli 828U, their new over/under shotgun. I would be looking at the 28" model, finish isn't important. What do you think?

Give Coyote Valley Sporting Clays a call, maybe they will have one to rent on hand

Called them, they don't have one yet and don't know when it's coming. They may not get a demo to shoot right away either.

An over-under from Benelli? Sure sparks interests!

I love some of the features: removable trigger group and Progressive Comfort System. The ADJUSTABLE DROP & CAST is definitely interesting.

List price is not too bad either, better than Beretta's SV10 when it first came out years ago.

I was originally looking at getting a 725 or cynergy as a new field gun, but this might be the new winner. I just want to see what people thought of them. Lighter gun, which is nice, but I have no doubt it will lick like a mule.

I was hoping to try one during the Benelli factory demo at Coyote Valley Sporting Clay but they didn't have it available, bit of a let down.

It looks like a very interesting shotgun, both this and the Ethos are 2 shotguns that I'm pretty interested in. They look like very nice field shotgun, almost a little too pretty if you opt for the engraved version actually.

I think we are in the same boat, the Benelli rep told me that the Ethos would be there, and I asked about the 828U. He said that they are not available for demo days, but will be in the future. I've been interested in the Ethos, but have too many autoloaders, gotta balance them out a bit!

it's suppose to have the same comfort stock as an M2, so shouldn't kick as hard as you're thinking.
