Advice needed - Benelli M4 foregrip with rails

I'd really like to have the option to put a laser and/or tac light on the foregrip of my M4, and I'm wondering what people here have used and recommend. I looked at the FAB Defense BM-4, and it looks OK - but I don't know how well it works in the field. Anyone have advice?

Biggest concerns are fit/finish (does it match the quality of the OEM Benelli parts) and most importantly the ergonomics (does it rip your hands to shreds when shooting?).

    Thanks in advance!!!

    Don't do it!!!!

Heavy, expensive and overkill. A simple light attachment up on the mag tube is lighter, cheaper and actually better. The further up the tube you get the light the less shadowing you get. You want to try and get the light as close to the muzzle as you can.

Look up the Benelli BLAM or AVA Tactical Benelli M4 Mounting System.

Not to mention, as the OP realized in the first post... why would you unnecessarily turn a handguard into a cheesegrater or end up having to buy more crap(covers) adding weight/bulk?

Surefire makes a very expensive railed handguard for the M4. It's sure not my cup of tea but somebody must be buying the things.

OP, note that the top rail on the M4 is its weak link. It's not a true "in spec" rail and there have been reports of optics coming off. If you're going to actually use it for something...and especially an expensive optic, you'll want to replace the rail with a better one.

I know people buy 'em, doesn't mean they make sense these days with other options available. You still see people buying quad rails for AR's regularly enough that lots of manufacturers make the things yet next to no one has a use for 4' of rail on their rifle. If the OP really wants to spend the money on a railed handguard for his benelli I'm not going to stop him, it's just odd that he already seems to be aware of one of the bigger problems with it.

Ideally, someone would have a foregrip that allows attachment of rails and still leave room on the foregrip for gripping.

I'm not totally averse to attaching a laser to the OEM grip or tube, but I've also got some 922(r) thoughts where adding an aftermarket foregrip could be advantageous.

If anyone is familiar with the way the Sig Classic foregrips work, that's basically what I'm looking for here. A comfortable foregrip that allows for the attachment of short rails up front so that I can install a taclight/laser.

Advice needed - Benelli M4 foregrip with rails

I'm looking to put the Ava mount on my m4. Clean, light, low profile. Just going to put in an E1 series surefire. With the AVA, you can field strip the sg without removing it. It attaches to the barrel block. Also includes a sling qd point and small pic rail section for your laser.

I have a surefire railed forend on mine. If a railed forend is what you're looking for, it's a really great product. Honestly, mine is only on there for 922r compliance reasons, I have no accessories on it. And never plan to, either... So someday I'll likely sell it and change it back to an OEM-style US-made forend.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.
