benelli super nova camo

So I guess we can mostly agree that benelli makes some pretty nice shotguns. I recently been researching duck hunting and would like to try it out this coming season. Someone pointed out the benelli supernova in camo and it got me really interested. The more research I did I found out that the super Vinci is pretty *****in too lol. Decisions, decision.... anyway, in regards to the super nova are there any owners out there that have experience using this shotgun for hunting? Thank you, your input is greatly appreciated

I have the same shotgun for the last 9 years very pleased with it. I would suggest buying one. I have the Nova pump.

Nice. It definitely feels good. I really don't think I need to spend an extra 1000 and own a super Vinci. I think the super nova will get er done

Supernova is heavy for quail but rocks everything else. Save your money.

Ive owned a benelli nova pump 28 inch for 12 years incredible shotgun , never ever jammed shoots everything with ease. Its taken dove, quail ,duck, pheasant and turkey. Dosent require any tools for breakdown and it so easy to clean. Ive held and shot dozens of shotguns this is by far the best fitting and draws the easiest to me. Girlfriend recently bought a rem 870 express magnum beautiful quality gun, i still feel like the nova is superior in comfort and ease of shouldering. The only gun that I thought toped this gun was the benelli super black eagle semi auto, but its alittle pricey. Benelli has been making shotguns for a long time, those Italians know what they are doing, seriously. I highly suggest this shotgun

Stay away from the super nova. I picked one up 3 years ago. That thing is jam city. Research will tell you the same thing.

Well I researched and you are correct sir. only thing is all the problems I found were dated from 2009 to 2012. Isn't that the time you bought yours as well? Could benelli have worked out the bugs?

I'm pretty sure I bought mine around 2009. It was perfect out of the box & remains so today. Quail, dove, geese, turkey & clays have all fallen to my supernova. Loads cycled from slugs to cheapo birdshot. No hiccups ever......

I bought mine 15 years ago and never had any issues, must be year specific or with a certain batch. That just means you have to stay away from used guns from that manufacturing period.

First things first:
There is the Benelli Nova and then there is the Benelli SuperNova.

One of them is $500 bucks or so, the other is $700 or so (I don't remember maybe more, maybe less).

The Nova is heavy, bulky, a bit rattly (IMO), easy to take down and clean, rugged, reliable, and extensible.

From my experience the SuperNova is all of the above PLUS you can change and shim the stock to make it fit you better, which you can't do with the Nova since the stock and receiver are all one piece.

^ correct. I used the included shims to customize my fit.

I believe the comfortec stock is also a supernova feature not included on the nova.
