    Browning Citori White Satin Hunter

I've been looking for an O/U to replace my 870 for clays/skeet for a while now. Almost pulled the trigger on a Citori White Lightning 2 months ago. Dicks has the Citiri White Satin Hunter on sale and I'm thinking of getting it.

Problem is, barrel is only 28 inches long. I've noticed the trend of buying longer barrels.

What are your opinions on the 28 inch barrel and the White Satin Hunter? I'm concerned with functionality over aesthetics.

I use a beretta o/u with 26 inch barrels for trap and skeet. I figure if I'm gonna use a gun for hunting, practicing with it is a good thing.

I have a Citori White Lightening with a 28" barrel. I added muller chokes which put me at almost 29.5". I have no issues with it in trap or skeet.

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

OP, what are you going to use it for? Scratch that, buy it and use it for whatever you want.

        It will be fine.

There's nothing wrong with 28" barrels for clay sports. The most important thing is how the gun fits you. The next most important thing is balance, and this is a very personal thing. Some people like barrel heavy, others don't...
I have 2 clay guns, 1 a 28", the other a 30", scores are the same with either. They both fit me and balance very close to the same.
Some people say longer barrels give you a better sight plane, all I can say is... WRONG... If you look at the barrel, you miss.
FIT is more important than barrel length!

I have a hunter and my buddy has the white lightning......

I think 28 inches is the most versatile in allowing you to shoot in all the different types of clay sports.

In the end of the day, I outshoot/outscore him with my hunter, but thats because I spend more time at the trap fields than he does.

If i had to do it over again, i'd probably also look into beretta's O/U,s they tend to be lighter and easier to swing.

It's not the weight, it's the balance. Brownings tend to be more muzzle heavy than Berettas...

              FIT is also different...
