Need help with my 12 gauge!

I was recently shooting my 12 gauge shotgun when my retaining ring came off the barrel, what type of glue if any should I use to glue it back on? Thanks I appreciate the input.

Are you talking about the barrel ring that goes over the mag tube?

A picture of the problem would help.

What they call the barrel ring is known as the barrel lug. Glue is not used to attach the barrel lug. Most manufacturers, if not all, use a method of silver brazing to attach the lug.

Without going in any deeper, please contact the manufacturer to address this issue.

            Good luck.

I'm pretty good at soldering but I'd rather have it done correctly. Should I send it back to the manufacturer or take it to my gunsmith?

I would contact the manufacturer and see what they will do for you. I would hope they would fix it at no charge.

A number of year ago Benelli had the same problem with some SBE's and they took care of it at no charge.
Hopefully Linberta will do the same.

Per AAShooter previous request, post some pictures, please.

                    Good luck.

Unless you have shot a bunch with that gun, I would consider that a manufacturer's defect.

                          Yep.

Not something easy to do properly and could warp the barrel if not heated evenly. That joint could have cracked while straightening at the factory. And rebraze will wreck the finish.

                              Perfect. Thank you.

Give the company a call and forward that picture to them. Please feel free to post a follow-up with your experience with the company. I'm sure it will be a good resource for other owners in regards to Linberta's customer and product support.

If it is not covered by warranty or they refuse service, let us know and we'll try to direct you to a gunsmith for repair.

                              As always, good luck.
