I was at Turners trying to find 20 gauge buckshot which is hard to find. The guys behind the counter said they sometimes have it. They said to talk to the ammunition guy who is responsible for ammo orders.
Ammo guy tells me (in that gunstore, elitist tone)... "No way. Can't get it. No distributors carry it." I responded by asking what about special orders, like by the case, whatever, he said no. He said "Try a gun show" and dismissed me.
Now before this encounter (on another day) I had originally talked to the manager of the store and asked him about ammo he didn't carry and he said he could pretty much order anything and that it would just be special order.
When I told this to the guy he said 20 gauge buck was just not available at his distributors.
So my question is this... in your opinion (since nobody knows for sure).
Was he lying to me just because he was lazy and didn't want to order it?
or
Was he telling the truth that 20 gauge buck isn't carried by his distributor?
