Pretty good video on shotgun reloading

Seems like a good video that takes you slowly through the process of reloading your shotgun, and how to avoid getting your thumb caught in the shell lifter (aka Benelli Thumb).

Yeah he covers the basics, but I don't care for his style.

I'm not a fan of having that trigger finger just sitting on the guard like that, and his after action drill at the beginning with his handgun simply makes no sense. NO SENSE. Also, trying to shove a round into a full mag doesn't seem like the best way to test if your mag is full.

I almost turned it off after the intro, then I completly turned it off when I saw them do the Dosie dough dance with a pistol after he dropped his shot gun on the ground.

I winced when he spiked that gun on the ground.

Yea, if you're in a gunfight and you just ran the thing dry and need to transition, I wouldn't hesitate to do that. But I see no need to beat a gun up like that. Get a sling.

Sorry, spiking your shotgun on to the ground when it goes dry is just stupid. You want to learn to load a shotgun fast, go watch the 3-gun shooters.

Hah hah...I know what you mean. His "eff this, eff that, eff everything" bombastic style is little hard to love, unless you like playing commando. I think he plays well to his intended audience however.

If you can get past that facade, some of the topics he brought up in his videos are pretty good. I like this shotgun reloading style for home defense myself, not so much if you're in a competition or just shooting in a range, but I think the "always be ready to shoot again" style is useful if you're facing unknowns in a HD situation.
