I second the magnetic option, never used one but I've seen a couple guys with them on. Didn't seem to have any issues.

The front sight beads are all pretty much screw-in (with different sized threads depending on make) though there are a few that are press-in.

+1 Yeah as kokak posted the magnetic ones work very well. Two came with my 870 super mag and they work very well. They stay on the shotgun and make it a lot easier to use than just a standard bead sight on the 870.
