    Mesa Tactical recoil reducer

Anybody ever shot or had a Mesa Tactical Shot Shock recoil reducer made by Enidine on a 12ga? Thinking about getting a LEO tube stock kit but wonder if it's worth the extra money to also get the recoil reducer tube, which is about 140$ extra.

I think its cheaper to just buy a knoxx spec ops stock and they work great too! I have one and it greatly reduces the recoil. I have the top folding model.

I have the Enidine buffer tube (sold by Mesa) along with my calvary arms adapter on my 870 and i must say it is great. With the high stock tube it makes the recoil go straight back rather than slightly upwards. With the enidine shock absorber i feel hardly any of the recoil. In a side by side comparison with the Knoxx spec ops stock, the enidine has hardly any felt recoil and no muzzle rise (the knoxx still kicks up but has little felt recoil).

        The Endine is awesome
I have one on my Mossberg 500 and it's great, but yes it is alot more then the Knoxx

Here's a video of my firing my 500 loaded with OO Magnum buckshot
Notice there's pretty much no recoil

I'd have to give another thumbs up to the Enidine piece. I've got one on a Mesa Tactical High Tube Adapter and it is awesome. I got a randomly good deal on #00 Buckshot at a gunshow just after buying my 870. Firing the stock 870 with the #00 loads kills my shoulder...especially when firing 100 rounds in a couple hours. With the Enidine "Shot Shock," or "Shot Stock," whatever, there's almost no recoil. Shooting 1-1/8 oz. lead slugs feels like #8 bird shot or lighter and the #6-8 that I normally shoot is almost not felt at all.

I would highly recommend the Enidine piece along with either the CavArms adapter or the Mesa. The Cavalry Arms piece has a much nicer finish on it, but they both serve the same purpose, and quite well. I should have my refinished Mesa Tactical adapter by end of next week with new anodize on it...I didn't like the grayish color that it had because it was unfinished cast aluminum. Couple hours with 300 grit sandpaper, a blast cabinet, and a tumbler, and she's as good as she's ever gonna look.

That was a way cool shotgun setup you have there. I have been thinking of putting the sidewinder drum kit on my 500 but i wasnt sure of the price. Back in the day it wasnt too much but now i am not sure. How do you like the knoxx sidewinder kit. Is it worth the $$$$. Oh and also what type of sights do you have on that shotgun, really cool looking. I wanted to put a knoxx specops stock with sidewinder kit and have some ghost ring sights installed. thats what my dream 500 would look like, oh and also in OD green! Give me ur opinion on the sidewinder kit, i was told its extremely pain in the but to install.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I am gonna go with the LEO adaptor with the recoil buffer. I just like it better than how the Knoxx stock looks.

I agree about the looks of the knoxx stock, it works, but it's just not that pretty looking to me either.

I had that 500 setup minus the OD Green and ghostring sights. I must say that the sidewinder kit got me a lot of props and looks at the range. It's cool to have, I just don't know about the practical uses of it. It's pretty easy to install. If you can unscrew the mag tube, then you're in business. I'm selling the sidewinder kit and specops now in the classified section here at calguns.net for financial reasons though.

On a mossberg 500, can I use the enidine with any six position adjustable stock, or do I have to get the mesa adaptor? I guess I'm asking if the enidine will only work with the mesa adaptor?

                    Thanks
