Was slam firing a feature? I thought it was a lack of a feature (disconnector) that allowed it to happen.

Because slam fire is not safe. It was a design flaw not a feature. You are not always going to fire when you rack the weapon forward and if you have your finger on that trigger you are going to discharge an unintentional round. Did I mention slam fire is not safe?

Model 12's can do it I believe. I own several, but have never tried it. Couldn't think of any reason why I would need to.
