    12 GA Slugs

I'm looking to buy some 12 ga slugs - nothin' fancy (or expensive) just looking for something to shoot at the range. Know any good sources?

12ga slugs seem to cost about $1 each no matter what kind you get or where you buy them. Even online, figuring shipping costs, you're still looking at about a buck each. If you find a better deal, let me know!
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Try the Rio slugs from Ammo Supply Warehouse:

          $138.00 for a case of 250.

They have both the low recoil and standard types. I've shot quite a bit of their low recoil ones and they fine in my Benelli semi-autos.

Do not rely on the low recoil version for home defense or hunting! They are basically birdshot loads but they stuffed a slug into the shell instead of birdshot pellets. I shot them at 100 yards and the velocity loss is incredible, I had to aim way above the bullseye to hit it, about 6 inches or more if I recall correctly. It was more like archery at that distance with the low recoil version.

Keep an eye on the Remington rifled 1oz slug at targetsportsusa.com. They sometimes offer them at $3.00 a box or $150 a case with free shipping. I've seen them offer it a couple of times now, just keep checking as they they this quite frequently in order to attract customers.

sellier & bellot 2.5 inch (yes, 2.5) slugs can be found for about $0.50/each. they cycle fine in my 870 and are accurate out to 100 yards, but i doubt they'd cycle in an autoloader.
              my Benitez goes to 11

I've found some excellent deals, but they're short-lived.

Walmart sells the Remington and Winchester slugs for about $12 for a box of 15.

Yep - with no tax and free shipping, this is about the best deal if you're looking for full-power slugs.
