This is a great point. Just because you have the ability to load it with 8 rounds, adversely effecting the swing and balance, there is no requirement to do so.
If you are sitting with your gun resting on a bed or a couch, with someone breaking their way into your front door (or through the window like they were doing in my case) swing and balance are moot, compared to being loaded to your max round count, in case of multiple targets.
Alternatively, if you are outside with coyote's and stray dogs on your property (again, my personal experience) loading up 1 in the chamber and 3-4 in the tube will maximize your ability to swing from target to target...
