Wingshooting shotguns are shaped and balanced the way they are for a reason. If an AK looking shotgun was a better wingshooting gun, clay enthusiasts and bird hunters would all be using AK looking shotguns.

So, for hunting or shooting clays, it's a huge failure. Not that you can't kill a duck or break a clay with one, but it's going to be easier with a more appropriate wingshooting gun.

If you don't care about killing birds or breaking clays, then it doesn't matter.

That was their old policy, they will now, if you send them a mag lock to install.

If you can mount a tool onto the magazine body it can make mag changes quicker and easier.

I am pretty sure they do. I just got a WASR from them 2 weeks ago.

Just note Vepr-12 does not take regular AK BB

Here's a link for OP to buy Vepr 12 mag lock.

I've wanted a VEPR 12 since they came out, they are so cool looking. But then I think about what I would use it for. For HD and CCW, I use pistols. For a dumb range toy, blowing up watermelons I have an 870-based AOW. For Clays and hunting, I have a Ruger Red Label. So I have not bought a VEPR. They are cool but that is a good chunk of change for a shotgun that I don't need when the next great ammo shortage is looming next year. My advice is, if you don't NEED one for 3 gun or something like that, put that $800.00-$1,000.00 into your ammo and or reloading stash. In 2016, you will thank me.

I love my VEPR, I bought it the day before the sanctions were placed and the prices jumped. Just keep feeding it 1250+ FPS ammo and all is good

Busting clay targets, mag dumps, shooting cans, destroying things, and general mayhem.
Most fun though is shooting steel targets at 100 yards with slugs.

No regrets buying this shotgun, everyone who shoots it comes away with a smile on their face.
