clay shotgun recommendations?

Well I'm getting into clay shooting and decided the winchester 1300 just isn't cutting it for doubles. I was looking for a double barrel(preferrably) but I'm also open to semi auto. My budget is $400(maybe $500 if its a screaming deal, rather not use my credit card) though.
New or used, I don't care. Thanks a lot!

Over under shotguns tend to run more than you are willing to spend at this time. There are many nice used semi auto's you might look into.

Look at Beretta 391, I have a shorter LOP so I purchased a 3901 RL several years ago to get me going until I was ready to purchase my over unders.

I've been using my Mossberg 930 for clays and hunting for like 4 or 5 years now. It's been great. No issues out hiccups. Seems to run any ammo.

I mainly do trap so that's the easiest and I'm a beginner. But I've been wanting to do doubles and its just too hard with a pump.

Listen to the advice about a USED semi. You are buying trouble in a semi for what you want to pay. Mossberg pumps are fine, but stay away from their cheap over under and semi. A used Beretta 391 would be a good buy.

I was referring to something more along the lines of the turkish made shotguns, like the ones CZ USA imports. The O/U and semi autos appear to have earned themselves a decent reputation without breaking the bank. If you want a place to look for info and user feedback, that would be http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/ and I think all of the CZ stuff is covered under the huglu section. Unlike the shotgun forum on calguns, probably 95% of SW is dedicated to clay shooting sports and hunting(rather than bolting crap to a 500 or 870), making it a much better resource to dig through for information about the shotguns you're looking for.

The Maverick O/U is made in turkey. Same as the Silver Reserve II, I think. The impression I get is that a semi-auto is a better buy at lower price points than an o/u.
