Yes it is. And I have spina bifida but am very high functioning. I have good upper body strength. Mostly my walking ability was just impaired. That's about it.

How well can you twist your torso to properly hold a long gun?
If you cannot do it easily and without discomfort then I must recommend against the shotgun. If you are already having discomfort twisting about it will be exacerbated by 12-Gauge recoil. If you are mobility impaired you cannot fire more than a few degrees off 12O'clock with a shouldered long gun whereas with a handgun you can give yourself over 180 degrees of coverage
Please, consider a handgun.

If you are mobility-challenged then I too recommended a pistol over a long gun. If you are worried about over-penetration you might consider some of the frangible rounds.
