    22's Better with Age

    1.
    W.R.Pape 1904 #122xx (Block 1903-1904) 22LR Rolling-Block (Martini) action. What a joy to shoot this rifle.

    2.
Here is the W.R. Pape with it's little friend. A "Stevens Favorite" (Arcade gun) octagonal barrel from around the 30's?. This is my go-to for smiles and even the occasional rattlesnake.

    3.
This is a Browning SA22 (Belgium) Diana Grade 3 -Early 60's

Not quite as old but a goody that has aged well.

Here's a 1975 Marlin 39a octagon. With rear peep and front globe sights added gives a heck of a sight radius given the 24" barrel. $95 new out the door and no 10 day wait back then. I just wanted a lever action 22 but turned out to be a great shooter (excellent barrel and trigger quality) over 5000 rnds over the years and still 1 MOA at 50 yards.
