Attached are photos of my Mossberg 144 LSB which I transplanted into a Remington 513 stock. The Mossberg stock didn't fit me (too long) and I did not like the plastic finger-grooved trigger guard. So, I got a $25 used 513 stock from Numrich and refinished it.

I was limited to hand tools - chisels, sandpaper, and a barrel channel scraper. Inletting was not too difficult, but the shape of the wrist of the stock and the shorter length of the Mossberg action resulted in the safety being enclosed in the stock and therefore inoperable, so its always on "Fire" That isn't a problem for me because I only shoot the gun in matches and its always pointed downrange when loaded.Comment
