I have a Savage MKIIBV. Shoots very well, better than the price would dictate.

Savage has made a couple of changes in the last year or so. The earlier MKII's (22LR, 17M2) were built on a short receiver and the 93's (22Mag, 17HMR) were built on a long receiver. Recently, Savage consolidated and all models are made on one receiver, the "E-series". As a result, aftermarket stocks are a bit hard to come by, since manufacturers haven't caught up or waiting.

    Otherwise, they are excellent shooters.
    Luck favors the prepared.

The original battle plan did not survive initial contact with the enemy.

I love mine. Best $175 I ever spent on a rifle and the accu-trigger is fantastic.

I've got one and it's a great shooting little rimfire, as long as there is no wind. I have to agree with shooterdude, best $175 spent on a rifle. I topped mine off with a BSA Contender scope with a 4" sun shade.

The only thing to consider is the clip and release lever protruding below the bottom of the stock if you shoot off of a bench. -g
