Just got this great old rifle and shot it yesterday. Love the Redfield peep rear and globe front sights. Date and early, 8000 serial looks like it was made in December, 1941.

I have a US Property marked one, it's Parkerized, not blued, w/a blade front sight and Redfield Olympic rear sight, shoots lights out.
Is that just a globe cover over a blade on the front sight or are there inserts for it? Is it marked at all?.

Inserts. Came with an envelope with 7 different. No markings, other than commercial.Comment
