you've got some great components there (some more than others) and it's definitely custom...
nice work but i just don't get the tacticoolizedl/bubba'd 10/22 thing.
but hey if that's what floats yer boat then that's all that should matter, so good for you!

My motivation to build this thing came after trying to decide if I wanted a GSG5 or a dedicated 22lr AR upper...which are both awesome choices. I have always loved the 10/22, they are tack drivers and really stout little rifles that eat just about anything you feed them. I could have bought a number of kits to transform my Ruger into just about anything but opted to create my own design... it is different and my guess is it's one of kind. Without sounding more like I need to defend my build, I'll just leave it that... it what it is and I like it!

Looks good. As long as you like it that is all that matters.
          Insert something clever here.

I was in the same boat...then my gunsmith had the Archangel kit for $150 and I COULDEN'T AFFORD TO NOT BUY IT!!! I love it, and its WAY more accurate tham my friends GSG-5!!

              Way too much going on.

But whatever floats your boat if you like it, that's all that matters. You're the one shooting it and that owns it.

Here's a 10/22 I built and sold awhile back. I prefer the clean look. Also one of a kind probably but definitely different route.

something about black picany rails on a wood stock looks funny to me. Nice gun though, i bet it shoots nice.

It's different alright... I just wanted something that doesn't look like a kit gun. It does shoot great though and the Walther red dot worked flawlessly... not bad for a cheapy. I've ordered the SIG 522 and would like to get a GSG5 at some point.

I like it, very unique .

I personally think wood and black rails look pretty cool together.

You do not have to defend that build. You did great, I would love to go to the range with it any time any day.

I think it would match better if you were to have a 'blackwood' stock.

                            Example:

I know there are places that can do this...Or maybe you can find a way to stain the stock to match.

The contrast between the wood and the tactical parts is what makes it look funky.
