    Mo's Tacticool 10/22

Well I spent a lot of time trying to decide which .22 rifle to get... the GSG5, AR22 dedicated upper, the SIG522 or simply take my old faithful and very much loved Ruger 10/22 and trick it out a bit. I decided to trick out my 10/22.... take a look and let me know what you think.

By the way, I also ordered the SIG but that's months away...

Has kinda of a M1A look about it. Nice build!

Thats tasteful, its a good combination of black rifle and wood. Like cleanguy said, has a bit of M1A feel to it. Nice!

                Thanks for the comments guys!!

The rifle is the basic Ruger 10/22 with the metal receiver. I'm using an E.R. Shaw 11.5" barrel with an AR 5.5 carbine flash hider which has been pinned and welded on. The rail system is the UTG Quad Rail and mounted below is a GG&G tactical bipod. The red dot scope and mount is a Walther setup. The buttpad is made by ProMag. Still to come is a Volquartsen drop in trigger assembly and an extended charging handle.

I was thinking about swapping out the stock with a black OEM polymer stock...Thoughts??

Keep the wood stock, thats what give it the good looks. If you put the black stock on it then it will look like everyone elses and fade into the black camouflage background of tacticool.

I haven't field tested the Walther site yet... it seems rugged enough. I'll post an opinion once I can actually try it out.

Thanks for your opinion offrdmania and good point! I kinda like the stock too, has a somewhat "camo" look to it.

Ok, just ordered the Volquartsen trigger guard and assembly, a large custom charging handle, a Blackhawk lace-on cheek piece and polished the bolt...I think I'm done with this thing! I'll post new pictures once it all get's here and is mounted...stay tuned!
