    Winchester 62A

My first rifle was a 1947 Winchester model 62A hammer pump rifle....it disappeared in one of my moves and always wanted another to take it's place....looked long and hard for a really nice one and finally got one a while back...just like new..crisp and bright...never retouched or "refinished" in any manner...takes me back to when I was 10 years old and I'm 78 now....still recall my 10 th birthday ...Dad took me to Gart Brothers sporting goods in Down town Denver and we got my rifle...just thought I'd share a pic.

              $800+?
I been buying the copies ..rossi 62 which I enjoy very much, especially the youth size gallery gun

Bought my first real win a few years ago...heavy patina..works well I thought it was a pretty good deal at $400. It has a replaced handguard/pump I woudl like to get fixed soon someday. Those real 62s have been dam expensive

Congrats on finding an awesome rifle! Pristine condition too. Just too bad you can't find them very often anymore (not at decent prices or decent condition ones).
