    Kimber Compact Rimfire

    Commander-sized frame with officer-sized slide.

Reminiscent of the Colt -made special distributor limited 1911 variants with those specs under the following nomenclatures:
"1911 Lt. Commander", "1911 Tank Commander", "1911 Commanding Officer", "1911 Night Commander", "1911 Night Officer". etc
(I guess now that Kimber finally came out with it, everyone has already purchased a dedicated 1911-22)
    Anywho, here she is:

Side by side with the GSG-922

Thanks. This Saturday I'll give y'all a range report.
Except for a couple of Kimber spots from the 2013 ShotShow, evidently, I'm the first Kimber rimfire compact kit owner who has posted about it on the web..
      Huua!

That's a great looking rimfire. iOS update blew out my ability to post pics, but I have a stainless Commanding Officer model, they could be twins.

Might have to get the GSG 922.
Anyone else have one, need comment.
I think Sig makes the slide.
