    Two oldies but goodies

Here are my two current rimfires, my Remington Nylon 66 Black Diamond and 552 ADL Speedmaster. The 552 belonged to my brother before he passed away. Both were bought in the mid-1970s, probably 1976 or 1977. Neither has been shot in 20+ years, something I'm going to address as soon as I can get decent scopes on them. I'd replace the irons on the 552 but these old eyes just ain't what they used to be - no more spotting .30 cal holes in 200 yard targets unaided, I'm afraid.

Sorry for the poor image quality, it was taken with the crappy camera on my tablet PC. Photoshop can only do so much. I'll try to get better pics once I get them out to the range. Or the desert, since that's where I live.

Looking up the manufacture dates I must have bought the Nylon 66 in 1980 as it was made in October of 1979. It may have been the very first firearm I bought after I turned 18. Too many years passed and too many guns bought and sold for me to be certain any more.

The 552 was made in August of 1975, so my brother bought it in either 1975 or 1976. Either way it really doesn't show its years. Oh, there's a bit of safe rash and wear, but nothing too bad and nothing that isn't easily fixed.
