    Any 10-22 owners here?

I have wanted to drill a hole in my 2 10/22's receivers for years but didnt have the guts. You know the hole in the back so you can use a bore rod from breach to crown the way all other rifles are done.

This gunsmith has an alignment tool that is really cool. Would you guys be interested in passing it around so we can all drill our guns?

I will buy it then ship it to the first name on the list. First name on the list buys it from me and so on. It gets passed around to all the names on the list and everyone gets reimbursed. Maybe pay $1 less for 25 times and then it costs all of us just $1 to rent.Just asking......

    Let me know.

If this doesn't work out for you, there is a thread on www.rimfirecentral.com that does the same thing. You may want to check it out.

    Good luck

Just get a measurement from someone that has drilled theirs and drill yours to the same specs. Lot cheaper($25-30) and no shipping.

You don't need a cleaning rod to clean your barrel. Personally there is no way I'd ever drill my 10/22s for use with a cleaning rod.

I used the jig from rimfirecentral. Works great and centers right up. Thanks for being willing to buy the drill.

And I was using a bore snake like your links and very happy with it until I read the article about cleaning 22 barrels. Its about an hours read with full documentation and pictures. Bottom line is the boresnake does not clean fouling from lead.

Go to the site and search "10-22 action drilling tool to loan". It's there I am not a computer guy so you will have to do a search. I found it in less than a minute.

What about using an Otis-style cleaning kit?
Looks a bit like a bore snake but uses regular brushes.
