    BSA Martini Model 12

    Any interest in the older target rifles? I have had one for over 30 years and am now finding my eyes are not what they used to be. Can't shoot the old gal like I used to. Thinking of trading for a rifle that can be scoped. Pretty much dead stock, BSA peeps, with the optional multi aperture rear. Post and globe front site. It's an early one, before 1922. Not relined and a take down model. Wish I could post pictures, but can email.

    I like mine!

    I bought it for my daughter. It's got the advantage of being light weight (for a target rifle), having good aperture sights, and being ambidextrous (she's LH). I prefer to shoot my Anschutz, 40X, or Remington 37.

    I also use the Model 12 for introducing juniors and new shooters. The light weight and Martini action make the introduction really easy.

      Email pics and price? Overall wear? Bore condition? Stock uncut? Asnake357@sbcglobal.net...we have a junior rifle program here...
      TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
      The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
      Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
      Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
      The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
      The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
      The best lack all conviction, while the worst
      Are full of passionate intensity.

        This one taught both my kids to shoot, and has been responsible for over a dozen Boy Scout Merit badges. My son is a lefty as well. I enjoyed out shooting many scoped rifles at silhouette with the irons. Never cut, LGS put it at 98% bore is perfect and has not been relined. Barrel is starting to go plumb, rest of the bluing is great, stock finish is good with a few dings, original butt plate. It is about 100 years old.. .220 Cartridge (22LR)
