    CCI Quiet .22LR

I received a brick as a gift from a friend having never used this stuff before I have some questions for those that have.

    1. Will it cycle in my 10/22? The box indicates it might not.

    2. How about my S-22?

    3. Legend has it that this stuff is pretty accurate as it is subsonic, true?

    Thanks

No chance it will cycle in any semi auto if it is indeed the quiets.

If I was local to you I would trade ammo for it that did. I have a hard time finding quiets for my Marlin Lever Action..

No will not cycle, but you can hand cycle. I have shot this stuff in by
bolt with 22" barrel. No louder than an air gun. Don't know about accuracy.
Slow round (~750fps), so distance wise, don't expect much.

Very accurate. Will not cycle a 10/22. I shoot them in my 10/22 but I manually cycle it.

I use these in my henry lever action and they're awesome! but there is no chance of them cycling a 10/22 at least from my experience I've tried in all 3 of mine

Not a change. I tried them on my hp22 and I have to manually cycle.

Still a bit loud next to Aguila Colibre, those sound like a cap gun.

They are the bomb , just hand cycle in a semi.I have taken out ground squirrels at about 60 yds with them. My savage bolt action loves em.They are the only 40 gr low noise ammo.

My Ruger American throws a flyer out of every 5 rounds or so with this ammo. Before you ask, the rifle does not display the same phenomenon with other loads. Otherwise it's pretty fun to shoot. It won't come near to cycling my 10/22 but hand cycles fine.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Through the 16" barrel on an 15/22 I had a 3/4" drop versus CCI minimags & CCI Standard Velocity at 25yrds. A quick and not very thorough, spur of the moment post I did on them.

They are considerably quieter on rifles than handguns.

The 22LR QUIET cartridge does extract and eject on my 15/22, as well as chamber the following round, but the low energy of the cartridge does not produce enough backward momentum on the bolt to reset the FCG. So, I have to charge the weapon for each follow-up shot, but when I charged my M&P 15/22, I would end up ejecting the round that has just been chambered. Slightly annoying. Fun to toy with but I will stick to my Minimags.

                      no, it will not.

no, use a .22lr revolver or bolt action rifle.

this ammo isn't a legend yet. yes is it very accurate but won't kill a pigeon at 20 yards it will just injure it.
You must have some awfully tough pigeons where you live.

i was about to say the same thing. I have shot and killed ground squirrels with tougher skin with these. As a mater of fact I just ordered 2 more boxes from midway cause they have them in. Where I shoot it is on my uncle's duck farm and these don't bother his ducks.

Just like any other "quiet" ammo, it will not cycle. I have a box of the stuff, but only use it in my bolt gun.

Good stuff for pest control if you live in a area that is legal to discharge a firearm yet have neighbors close by.
