Ruger Single Six Stainless

Hi,

Just picked up a Ruger Single Six Stainless 5.5" barrel from a fellow calgunner for $450, its brand new in box never fired. Is it a good deal?

Also, does Dawson precision make fiber optic front sight for Single Six?

you paid a fair price , A fine pistol that will last . I read a story of a lady that lost hers in the snow . went back in the summer found it and Ruger put it back into service . I have the same SS and a Vintage 3 screw 22/22 mag combo .

I am thinking of ordering below sight from Dawson precision, does it fit Single six?

Just bought one for $539 plus tax and DROS, so yes you got a good price.

If you look at ShopRuger.com you will see they offer nice replacement sights for the Single-Six as well as other pistols/revolvers. I installed a set of the fiber HiViz sights on a Mk.I and they are great. Ruger offers the Williams Fire sights as well as the HiViz.

I called dawson this morning and they confirmed that their MKII and MKIII sight doesn't fit the Single Six. As you mentioned options are to replace both front and rear with Williams fire sights or Hiviz front. Not sure how good Hiviz fits the Single six.
