22 WM - all suck?

Had 1 in 10 misfire today Remington Premier). Are they all so terribad?

Took the misfires and tried firing again for a total of 3 strikes in different places on the rim - no go (means it is not the gun).

Remington has had a bad rep on rimfire ammo lately.
I'd go with CCI maxi-mags, or Winchester Dynas.

It may be the batch of rimfire ammo from rem. Like others have said it seems rem has produced some not so reliable batches

I didn't even know Remington made .22 Mag.

Not a fan of their .22LR.Would definitely try another brand of ammo.

Interesting thread---all of my 22 Mag ammo I have is probably 20 years old (CCI, Federeal and Winchester) and I've never had a fail to fire from any of it. I'm down to only one gun that shoots this stuff---a Colt Peacemaker single-action with both 22lr and 22 Mag cylinders---don't shoot it much any more---maybe once or twice in the last five years...
