    stainless 22lr barrel source?

I've been looking for a stainless steel 18 inch or 16 inch medium contour 22lr barrel for an AR. Does anybody know a source for an affordable barrel like this? At this point I'm not interested in a regular carbon barrel or a tensioned sleeve barrel. Any ideas?

Shilen might make a barrel. Google search says they do... but site doesn't say.
Give them a call....they make their own AR barrels from blanks

          Affordable??
JP enterprises makes a Supermatch™ 18" .22 LR light contour stainless steel barrel (very nice)

Not sure if you can get just the barrel or if you have to complete the upper?

I know Nordic sold .22lr stainless steel barrel uppers a few years ago but now no longer do. Does anyone know where they got their barrels from? I tried asking them but never got a reply.

Well, this is the direction I finally went; I bought a Taccom stainless 17" tensioned barrel with the aluminum shroud. Tim found a barrel shroud that was still in the white and he polished/brushed it to look like stainless steel. I just got it today and while I haven't shot it yet the DPMS BA-22 upper looks great with the new barrel and MI Gen2 SS 12" black hand guard installed. The weight savings is an amazing bonus, I'm guessing the complete new upper with MI hand guard weighs as much as the take off bull barrel by itself! Kudos to Tim and his crew at Taccom for an outstanding job! I'll post pictures soon.
