Nikon is having an "end of the year sale" right now. Very clear glass holds zero.
9x 40mm are going for around ~$100 if that is in your budget. -
What will be the primary use of the rifle, hunting, plinking, target shooting and maximum distance you will shoot? Can't make a good recommendation without knowing the primary use of your rifle. In any case I would rank scopes in the following order, good to best:
Nikon
Weaver
Vortex
Leupold
You will not be sorry if you choose one from the above manufacturers. The only quality Chinese made scope I have ever had is from Mueller. Lowest cost and best quality I have seen but not in the same class as the others.Comment

I have a Mark II. I put this scope on it, Nikon ProStaff Rimfire.
Sweet scope, clear, but I only shoot out to 50 yards. 75 should be not be an issue with it.
So much for being honest.Originally posted by ivanimalPeople that call other member stupid get time off.Comment

There are several suppliers offering deep discount. Just Google Nikon 9x Prostaff and you will get lots of results. If not in CA then no sales tax, some offer free shipping also.Hey man thanks a lot, do you have a link? or what site do i go to?
The Prostaff rimfire is set for a parallax of 50yds,others are set for 100 yds. So need to think about how you plan to use the rifle. Not that parallax is the only issue in selection.Comment
