    22 ammo shortage?? Hmmmm

Came scross this to see distinction and fun testing.

Was actually VERY surprised by the end result. May be going to lows and Sport chalet after watching this.

What do you guys think about this??

And we know that the powders used in nailgun blanks, when mated to a makeshift projectile, result in rifle-appropriate chamber pressures -- how, exactly??

And the ridiculous claimed speeds all but confirm it doesn't.

Don't do this, period. Why you'd even think about it is beyond me.

Even with ammo as scarce as it is, you can get the best quality .22 LR in history for under fifty cents a round delivered. New eyeballs cost considerably more.

All you have to do is look down the barrel and make sure there is no pellets down there. I mean what's the worst that could happen

Years ago at a Gun Show I bought a kit of modified .223 cases that took a 209 shotgun primer and a 22 cal pellet. I chrono'd that set up at 1000 fps out a 14" Contender. No powder, primer powered only.

Yeah, turn your 22's into muzzle loaders to save 15 bucks...

Reminds me on how some drank denatured alcohol during the 1920's.

Is it shooting them that fast because of how light the pellets are or is it putting some extra pressure in it that is just asking for the gun to blow up?

That is pretty cool though I have to say.

I have no words for how idiotic this is.

There's plenty of .22 available; it's just slightly more expensive than it has been in the past.

It's not worth sending hot brass through your eyeball just to be a cheapskate.

Even at the end of his vid, he says it cost him about $35 for 500rds. Huh

                          Way past dumb.

I've been getting alerts from AmmoSeek for the past couple days of $0.08/round in .22 short for quantities from 50 to 500 depending on the retailer. This past weekend I also saw the same price on .22LR so I think prices are edging down, though those don't stay in stock for very long.
