    MIII head space (How?)

I was looking at one of the mk3 threaded/lite uppers on GB and wondered if I can switch that upper to my mk3 hunter and use my existing bolt (it doesnt come with a bolt)? How are the mk3's headspaced?

I live in a free state and want to run a can on my mk3. The upper is much cheaper than a new threaded gun (400 vs 165)

As far as I know there are no issues if both are in reasonable condition.
Starve the beast, move to a free state.

      Awesome!

Just bought it for $130, no BS dros fees here in ID so its mine for 130 (not 130 +75 +25 +30 + tax) Gotta love free states!

Though I love being in a free state just as much you may still have a transfer fee and maybe shipping. On a 22/45 the barreled upper is the firearm and unless you are buying from someone in Idaho it still has to go through a FFL.

Another good thing about a free state, you can walk in, pick out the handgun you want, fill out the 4433, pay for it, and take it with you. No waiting. Usually no transfer fee if you buy local.

The bolt headspaces by having a pocket in the bolt face that the cartridge head sits in. As long as it goes into full battery, headspace is the same.
